About Me

I am a highly motivated student-athlete committed to performing at the highest level both academically and on the golf course. I compete regularly in top U18 events across the UK and Europe and currently hold a competition-only handicap of -1.8, with a scoring average of 73.15 across my last 20 competitive rounds. I have also been awarded a golf scholarship to Reed’s School Cobham for A-Levels, where Reed’s are the 2026 UK National Schools Golf Champions.

My competitive highlights include winning the prestigious Stephen Gallacher Foundation Trophy in June 2026 against a strong field of Scotland’s leading U18 golfers and capturing the National Independent Schools title at The Berkshire with a competitive career-low 65 (-6).

Further results include two regional U18 scratch wins, a quarter-final run at the St Andrew’s Boys U18 International, a fourth-place finish in the Under 21 WAGR Links Challenge, and a top-40 finish in the 2026 Scottish Boys Open Championship, whilst studying for my GCSE exams. I have also  been nominated as Junior Club Captain for Burhill Golf Club for 2027 and selected for the prestigious Callaway Next EU programme.

I also captained both the Under 18 and Under 16 Surrey County scratch teams to a Regional League title, finishing top points scorer with 5.5 points from 6 matches. Captaining a top-three London rugby team to its first regional final also helped me develop a strong leadership mindset and a real commitment to the team’s progress.

I train with purpose every week through strength and conditioning, mobility work, and regular coaching sessions, and I am now looking to continue developing in a high-level college golf environment where I can contribute as a consistent performer and strong teammate.  I am currently 5ft 8 inches tall and weigh 167 lbs.

What Coaches Say

Below are references from coaches and mentors who have played an important role in my development as a student-athlete. They are happy to be contacted and discuss my character, work ethic, and progress.

  • “Sean stood out immediately through his elite ball-striking, composure under pressure, and maturity well beyond his years. What impressed us most was not only his performance level, but also his humility, positive attitude, and calm demeanour. He continues to show a strong work ethic and a genuine commitment to improvement, and he represents exactly the type of high-potential athlete we are proud to support through the Callaway Next EU programme."

  • “Sean brings an exceptional work ethic to every session. He arrives with purpose, trains with intent, and consistently listens to feedback and applies it. His accuracy and dispersion are among the best I’ve seen at this level, and his improvement in speed over the past 12–18 months has been outstanding. Just as importantly, he adds real value to any team environment through his attitude and professionalism. He is a pleasure to coach.”

    James Winstanley
PGA Professional & Surrey U18 Coach

  • “Sean is exactly the kind of player every coach wants — highly coachable, resilient and committed to the team. He embraces challenges, leads by example, and works hard in both training and competition. His leadership and mindset have helped raise standards across the squad and he is a great young man to have in any team.”

    Paul Osment
    Head Coach, Esher Rugby

  •  “I have worked with Sean for the past 18 months with a specific focus on golf. He is a highly diligent and disciplined athlete who approaches each session with intent and consistency. He is very coachable and has made strong progress in speed, movement quality, and physical robustness, while maintaining an excellent attitude and professional approach.
